I installed IE7 and still couldn't get onto the web. Automatic Updating is a problem unto itself. But think about it: This move targets use who don't know enough to disable Recommended updates, but have also rejected Microsoft's previous offers. because if you disable auto-updates, then you have a red shield and a nag-balloon instead of a yellow shield and a nag-balloon. The company's opt-out for Windows 10 installation is unlikely to be much better. Once you have done this the updates should work as normal. Usb ports packed, along with other items.
