To continue, using usb flashdrive to download updated drivers, but I cannot get past Windows Install inactive issue. You can do the same "safe mode/reboot" procedure under Parallels and the same thing happens: no reactivation. I was able to reactivate in BootCamp but then in Parallels it asked me to reactivate and it tells me I have exceeded the number of times I can use this. And I agree its a pain to have to boot in safe mode (and then reboot) every time you make the switch. I do not have free support, and Microsoft has not charged me for support on this issue. I suspect that when I replace the motherboard, I'll be prompted to re-activate. But it still comes without a single page of printed instructions.Fortunately, the new edition of Windows XP Home Edition: The Missing Manual fills the void.
