Connected my Sony camcorder, fired up my Vegas Video 10. I had this problem pop up about 6 months ago. This fixed my problem instantly and then allowed my to upgrade my driver to the latest version (In my case Realtek HD Audio). to active your sound again you have to do just few steps. 1: Right Click On My Computer and click on manage. 2: when computer management window opens.

If the error is due to Sound Card, try updating your sound drivers. as you have been told a thousand times before. I totally fixed it by rolling back two drivers to the WinXP sp1 version. This is a fix to make drivers work properly.
When user came back to SP2 it was ok. I’ve spent much time to get the audio working on my PC by deleting drivers, re-installing the Realtek drivers. But noluck.I am about to format, luckly i found this.I just downladed the it auto detects the realtek hi-definatin audio.
