I'm guessing uninstalling the network controller and rebooting will bring up the new hardware found wizard upon reboot? Option 3 worked for me too.My own IT people could not resolve the issue as you did!! After all, the problem you are having might be caused by an add-on that causes IE to crash or something. IE still wouldn't work. I tried Microsoft fixes.. Unbelievable! I have a good connection as I can see that through multiple areas (IE indicates the internet connection is good; she has both Skype and MS Groove connected; Outlook is working). I have set this as home page for my firefox as well for Internet Explorer Browser.
